WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS (AMENDMENT NO. 168) ORDER 1999 SUNLIGHT CLOSE, S.W.19
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of power conferred by Section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 have made the above-mentioned Order on 21st July 1999. The Order will come into operation on 26th July 1999. The general effects of the Orders will be: (a) to introduce permit holder bays in the roads identified in Schedule 1 to this Notice; (b) To introduce waiting restrictions operating at the times indicated in the roads specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice. Exemptions to the provisions of the Order are given for emergency vehicles and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. A copy of the Order, the Council’s statement of reasons and a plan of the area affected by the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays until 1st September 1999 in the main reception, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks from the date which the Order was made, apply to the High Court of this purpose.
