NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A NEW LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that E. R. Ling & Sons Ltd, of Grange Farm, Palgrave, Diss, Norfolk IP22 1AZ are applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Stuston Beck between National Grid References (NGR) TM 103 765 and TM 111 774 at Grange Farm in the Parish of Palgrave and within the Waveney Valley Internal Drainage Board (IDB). The proposal is to abstract water at the following maximum rates: 62.5 cubic metres per hour, 1,500 cubic metres per day, and 45,000 cubic metres per annum between 1st November and 31st March each year. This water will be used to fill a reservoir for the subsequent spray irrigation of agricultural crops. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with them may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at Grange Farm, Palgrave, Diss, between 23rd July and 23rd August 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Eastern Area, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
