MINISTRY OF HOUSING AND LOCAL GOVERNMENT PROVISIONAL ORDER CONFIRMATION (GREATER LONDON PARKS AND OPEN SPACES) ACT 1967
Notice is hereby given that an Inspector appointed by the Secretary of State for the
Environment, Transport and the Regions will attend at The Hyde Room, York House, York
Street, Twickenham, on Tuesday, 20th July 1999, to hold a public local inquiry into
the application by the Council of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames, for
consent under Article 17 of the Schedule to the above-mentioned Act to utilise parts
of Ham and Barnes Commons as cycle tracks.
The inquiry will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, 20th July 1999, and an evening session
will be held at the above-mentioned venue commencing at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, 20th July
1999. The inquiry may extend to Wednesday, 21st July, if necessary.
It is desirable that all persons interested should attend the inquiry. Any persons
desirous of being heard on the subject matter of the application may, at the discretion
of the Inspector, give evidence at the inquiry or may arrange for someone to do so
on his behalf on the date mentioned above.
Copies of the application by the Council of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames,
the applicant’s statement in support of the application, and a plan showing the common
land affected and details of the proposals, will be available for inspection at The
2nd Floor Reception, The Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham, from the date of
this notice until the opening of the public inquiry.
Copies of the statement will be available on request from the Department of the Environment,
