TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (West Berkshire) (No. 1) Order 1999”, authorising the stopping-up of an area of highway off Oddfellows Road, Newbury, West Berkshire. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Head of Transport (West), Government Office for the South East, Second Floor, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1 4GA (quoting reference GOSE/029/001/NEWB/001). It may also be inspected at all reasonable hours at West Berkshire District Council, Council Offices, Market Street, Newbury. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the power of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any Regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 1st July 1999, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
