Notice is hereby given that an application is being made to the Environment Agency, Thames Region by Thames Water Utilities Ltd., Gaisnborough House (RBH2), Manor Farm Road, Reading, Berkshire RG2 0JN to vary licence serial number 28/39/20/11, to abstract water from underground strata (chalk) at Woods Farm Pumping Station, Berkshire, National Grid Reference SU 582 795.
The variation applied for is to increase the current peak hourly rate from 172.7 cubic metres per hour to 250 cubic metres per hour and the current peak daily rate from 3,410 cubic metres per day to 5,500 cubic metres per day and the yearly rate from 1,136,500 cubic metres per year to 1,825,000 cubic metres per year. The licences at Cholsey pumping station (Licence serial number 28/39/20/5) and West Hendred pumping station (Licence serial number 28/39/18/6) will be revoked at the same time so that there will be no aggregate increase in licensed abstraction.
