INTEGRATED POLLUTION CONTROL

Notice is hereby given that Ciba Specialty Chemicals Water Treatments Ltd has applied to the Environment Agency for a substantial variation to the Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) authorisation to operate Processes for the Production of Organic Monomers and Polymers (Bead and Intermediates) at Cleckheaton Road, Low Moor, Bradford, West Yorkshire BD12 0JZ, in the Metropolitan City Council of Bradford in the County of West Yorkshire. The substantial variation relates to the major upgrade of the processes for the production of Quaternised Amino Acrylate and Acrylamide. Information relating to the above IPC application for variation to operate the upgraded processes for the production of Quaternised Amino Acrylate and Acrylamide is held in registers at The Environment Agency, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS11 8PG, and Bradford Metropolitan City Council, Directorate of Housing and Environmental Protection, Environmental Health Office, Shipley, West Yorkshire BD18 3EJ. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPC application for variation should be made in writing to the Environment Agency, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds, West Yorkshire LS11 8PG, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any such objections or representations shall be entered onto the public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. If there is such a request, the register will only include a statement that there has been a request. In this case there will be included in the register a statement indicating only that representations have been made which have been the subject of a request.
