THE BOROUGH OF CONGLETON (SANDBACH ROAD,
RODE HEATH) (RESTRICTED ROAD) ORDER 1999
Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, 19th May 1999, Congleton Borough Council,
pursuant to arrangements made with Cheshire County Council, made an Order under sections
82 and 83 of the Road Traffic Act 1984 (as amended).
The effect of the Order, which comes into force on 24th May 1999, is to introduce
a maximum speed limit of 30 m.p.h. along Sandbach Road, Rode Heath, from its junction
with the A50 in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 895 metres to a point
20 metres north-west of the centre line of its junction with Heath Road.
Full details of the Order may be inspected at the Alsager Information Office and
“Westfields”, Middlewich Road, Sandbach, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday
to Friday.
If you wish to question the validity of the Order or any of its provisions on the
grounds that it is outside the powers of the Act or that any of the requirements of
the Act or regulations made under the Act have not been complied with, you may within
6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this
purpose.
