THE GREENWICH (BUS LANE) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) TRAFFIC ORDER 1999 THE GREENWICH (BUS STOP CLEARWAY) (AMENDMENT NO. 12) TRAFFIC ORDER 1999 THE GREENWICH (WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION) (AMENDMENT NO. 63) ORDER 1999

Notice is hereby given that Greenwich Council, hereinafter called the Council, on 19th May 1999, made the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985 and the Road Traffic Act 1991. 2. The general effect of the Orders, will be to make permanent the restrictions currently imposed by experimental Orders in Shooters Hill and which are specified in detail below. 3. The further effect of the bus lane Order will be to designate a bus lane on the length of Shooters Hill specified in Schedule 1 to this notice, operative between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m., on Mondays to Fridays inclusive. 4. The further effect of the bus stop clearway Order will be to amend the Greenwich (Bus Stop Clearway) Traffic Order 1997, by designating bus stop clearways, operative at any time, on the lengths of Shooters Hill specified in Schedule 2 to this notice. 5. The further effects of the waiting and loading Order will be to amend the Greenwich (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1994 so as to provide: (a) waiting restrictions: (i) operative at any time on the lengths of Shooters Hill specified in Schedule 3 to this notice; (ii) operative between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Mondays to Fridays on the lengths of Shooters Hill specified in Schedule 4 to this notice; (b) loading restrictions: (i) operative at any time on the lengths of Shooters Hill specified in Schedule 5 to this notice; (ii) operative between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. and between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays on the lengths of Shooters Hill specified in Schedule 6 to this notice. (iii) operative between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. on Mondays to Fridays on the lengths of Shooters Hill specified in Schedule 7 to this Notice. 6. Persons having a query concerning the scheme should contact Engineering Services on 0181-854 8888 extension 5577 or 5579. 7. Copies of the Orders, which will come into operation on 26th May 1999, of the Orders being amended, of the Council’s statement of reasons for making the Orders, together with plans showing the locations and effect of the Orders, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive, at Engineering Services, Greenwich Strategic Planning, Peggy Middleton House, 50 Woolwich New Road, Woolwich, London SE18 6HQ, and copies of the Orders may be obtained from that address. 8. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or of any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within 6 weeks of the making of the Orders, make application for the purpose to the High Court. Schedule 1 Shooters Hill, the south-west side, between a point opposite the north-western kerb-line of Red Lion Lane and a point 67 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Well Hall Road. Schedule 2 Shooters Hill (a) the north-east side, from a point 59.50 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Red Lion Lane, extending north-westward for a distance of 29 metres. (b) the south-west side, from a point 2 metres south-east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 33 b and 33 c Shooters Hill, extending south-eastward for a distance of 25 metres. Schedule 3 Shooters Hill, the north-east side, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Academy Road and a point 10 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Red Lion Lane. Schedule 4 Shooters Hill, the south-west side, between the south-western kerb-line of Well Hall Road and a point 2 metres south-east of a point opposite the party wall of Nos. 33 b and 33 c Shooters Hill. Schedule 5 Shooters Hill, the north-east side (a) between the south-eastern kerb-line of Academy Road and a point 53 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Red Lion Lane; (b) between a point 23 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Red Lion Lane and a point 10 metres south-east of the south-eastern kerb-line of Red Lion Lane. Schedule 6 Shooters Hill, the north-east side, between a point 53 metres north-west of the north-western kerb-line of Red Lion Lane and a point 23 metres north-west of that kerb-line. Schedule 7 Shooters Hill, the south-west side, between the south-eastern kerb-line of Well Hall Road and a point opposite the north-western kerb-line of Red Lion Lane.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984—SECTION 14(1) (DURNFORD STREET) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 1999

Greenwich Council gives notice that due to pavement reconstruction works taking place in Durnford Street, it intends making an Order the effect of which would be to prohibit vehicular traffic from proceeding in that length of Durnford Street which is designated as public highway. 2. An exemption has been provided in the Order to permit access to premises which are adjacent to the length of road specified in paragraph 1, insofar as such access is reasonably practicable without interference with the execution of the said works. 3. Whilst the prohibition remains in force diverted pedestrian traffic should proceed via Turnpin Lane or the main entrance to Greenwich Market. 4. The Order would come into operation on 26th May 1999 and would be valid for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed, whichever is the sooner. The works are scheduled to commence on 26th May 1999 and are expected to be completed by 5th July 1999. 5. Persons having a query concerning these works should contact 0181-854 8888 extension 5475.
