The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (County of South Yorkshire) (Sheffield No. 2) Order 1999” authorising the stopping-up of a length of Parliament Street, Sharrow, Sheffield and requiring the provison of a new area of highway at Sunderland Street/Parliament Street and improvements to areas of Summerfield Street, Sunderland Street and Parliament Street. Copies of the Order may be obtained, freee of charge, on application to the Director of Planning & Transport at the Government Office for Yorkshire and the Humber, PO Box 213, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4US (quoting YHDOT U4420/35/1/27) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at Sheffield City Council, First Stop Reception, Legal and Adminsitrative Services, Town Hall, Sheffield. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of the 7th May 1999 apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
