HIGHWAYS ACT 1980
Notice is hereby given that on Tuesday, 22nd June 1999, at 12 noon, an application will be made by the Essex County Council, as highway authority, to the Witham Magistrates Court sitting at the Court House, Newland Street, Witham, Essex, for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980. The proposed Order provides for the stopping up of highway rights over an area of highway comprising 6 square metres or thereabouts of the land adjoining 26 Duggers Lane in the district of Braintree, in the county of Essex, as shown shaded pink on plan No. 83/2/132 on the ground that the highway is unnecessary. The plan showing the area of highway to be stopped up is deposited at the offices of the Corporate Information Unit, County Hall, Chelmsford and at the offices of Braintree District Council, Causeway House, Braintree, Essex. It may be inspected, free of charge, during normal office hours. On the hearing of the application any person to whom the notice has been given, any person who uses the said highway and any other person who would be aggrieved by the making of the Order applied for will have the right to be heard.
