ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
THE A52 TRUNK ROAD (BRAILSFORD) (30 AND 50 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 199
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions gives notice
that he proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of and paragraph
27(1) of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The Order, if made as proposed, will:
(1) impose a 50 miles per hour speed restriction on the A52 trunk road, Ashbourne
Road, Brailsford, from a point 20 metres south-east of the junction with Snipesmoor
Lane to a point 280 metres north-west of the junction with The Green, a distance of
5,774 metres, and
(2) extend the current 30 miles per hour speed restriction on the A52 trunk road,
Asbourne Road, Brailsford, from a point 151 metres north-west of the junction with
The Green to a point 280 metres north-west of the junction with The Green, a distance
of 129 metres.
A copy of the draft Order, a plan illustrating the proposals and a statement of reasons
explaining the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be
inspected during opening hours at Brailsford Post Office, Brailsford DE6 3DA, or may
be seen at or obtained by application to the Director, The Highways Agency, Northern
Customer Services Division, Room 705, Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1
4BE.
Any person wishing to object to the Secretary of State’s proposals to make the Order
should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the
Directors address given above. The objection should quote HA 28/015/21 and must be
received no later than Friday, 28th May 1999.
