NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Cornwall Eclipse ’99, of Hendra Croft, Newquay, Cornwall TR8 5QL, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from the following locations: Flooded Quarry at Chywoon Monumental Works at National Grid Reference SW 749 351, at Longdowns, near Stithians. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 27 cubic metres per hour, 648 cubic metres per day, 10,886 cubic metres between 12th July 1999 and 22nd August 1999. River Gannel at National Grid Reference SW 819 597, at Rosecliston, near Newquay. The proposal for this site is to abstract water at the following rates: 3 cubic metres per hour, 96 cubic metres per day, 1,613 cubic metres between 12th July 1999 and 22nd August 1999. The proposal for this site is to abstract water at the following rates: 8 cubic metres per hour, 216 cubic metres per day, 3,629 cubic metres between 12th July 1999 and 22nd August 1999. The proposal for this site is to abstract water at the following rates: 8 cubic metres per hour, 216 cubic metres per day, 3,629 cubic metres between 12th July 1999 and 22nd August 1999. Flooded Quarry at Criggan Moors at National Grid Reference SX 014 610, at Woodlands Barton, near Bodmin. The propsal is to abstract water at the following rates: 30 cubic metres per hour, 720 cubic metres per day, 12,096 cubic metres between 12th July 1999 and 22nd August 1999. A proposed borehole installation at National Grid Reference SW 8037 5447, at Scotland Road, near St. Newlyn East. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 1.5 cubic metres per hour, 48 cubic metres per day, 807 cubic metres between 12th July 1999 and 22nd August 1999. The water will be used for raw sources for subsequent treatment for proposed temporary Eclipse ’99 camp sites.
