NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS TO STOP UP ST. AIDAN’S MOUNT AND VARIOUS FOOTPATHS, ST. AIDAN’S CLOSE AND VARIOUS FOOTPATHS, PART OF ST. AIDAN’S DRIVE AND A FOOTPATH, NORFOLK PARK; PARTS OF PARK GRANGE MOUNT AND A FOOTPATH AND PARTS OF PARK GRANGE VIEW AND VARIOUS FOOTPATHS, NORFOLK PARK; AND PART OF DURHAM ROAD, CROOKESMOOR

Notice is hereby given that the Sheffield City Council being the Highway Authority for the said City intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court sitting at Castle Street, Sheffield, on 23rd April 1999, at 2.30 p.m., for seven Orders under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980 that the areas of highway described in the Schedule below be authorised to be stopped up on the ground that they are unnecessary. The effect of the Orders is shown on the plans which may be inspected, free of charge, at the First Stop Reception, Legal and Administrative Services, Town Hall, Pinstone Street, Sheffield S1 2HH, at all reasonable hours. Telephone enquiries can be made by ringing 273 4034 (Ref. LOA/SH). On the hearing of the applications any person who is interested in land abutting on or served by the said areas of highway or uses the said areas of highway or is otherwise aggrieved shall have a right to be heard. Schedule 1.0 The whole of St. Aidan’s Mount and various footpaths connecting thereto. 2.0 The whole of St. Aidan’s Close and various footpaths connecting thereto. 3.0 An area of St. Aidan’s Drive which forms a cul-de-sac spur off its eastern boundary. 4.0 A length of footpath commencing at its jucntion with an existing footpath at a point approximately 50 metres north of St. Aidan’s Road and extending for approximately 80 metres in a general northerly direction to join another existing footpath, together with the spur off. 5.0 Three areas of Park Grange Mount which form cul-de-sac spurs off its western boundary and a footpath connecting thereto. 6.0 Two areas of Park Grange View which form cul-de-sac spurs off its western boundary and various footpaths connecting thereto. 7.0 An irregular shaped area of Durham Road located at its north-western cul-de-sac end. 19th March 1999.
