TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives
notice that he proposes to make an Order under section 247 of the above Act, which
will authorise the stopping-up of an area of highway at King Street, Maidenhead, in
the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead.
The proposed Order will not be made unless planning permission for the development
described in the Schedule to this notice is granted, and in that event the stopping-up
will be authorised only in order to enable the development to be carried out in accordance
with that planning permission. Planning permission for that development was applied
for to the Royal Borough of Windsor and Maidenhead by Fookes Partnership on behalf
of Castlemore Securities Limited, on 24th August 1998, under application number 98/33076.
The proposed Order is one of three that are being proposed to enable the planning
application mentioned above to proceed. The other two draft Orders have references
GOSE/029/001/BERK/021 and GOSE/029/ 001/BERK/022.
Copies of the draft Order and relevant plan may be inspected at all reasonable hours
during the 28 days commencing on 16th March 1999, at the offices of The Town Hall,
St. Ives Road, Maidenhead, Berkshire SL6 1RF, and may be obtained, free of charge,
from the Head of Transport (West), Government Office for the South East, (quoting
Ref. GOSE/029/001/BERK/023) at the address below.
During the above-mentioned period of 28 days anyone may object to the making of the
Order by writing to the Secretary of State, quoting Ref. GOSE/029/001/BERK/023 and
addressing their objection to the Head of Transport (West), Government Office for
the South East, Second Floor, Bridge House, 1 Walnut Tree Close, Guildford GU1 4GA.
In the preparation of an objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of
any objection may be communicated to the applicant and other people who may be affected
by it.

This notice is given by virtue of section 253 of the above Act.
This notice is being republished in The London Gazette owing to an error in the previous application, where Broadway was inserted in place
of “King Street”.
