NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR CONSENT FOR THE PURPOSES OF SECTION 88

Notice is hereby given, in accordance with Schedule 10 to the Water Resources Act 1991, (as amended by the Environment Act 1995) that an application has been made to the Environment Agency, by Yorkshire Water Services Ltd., 2 The Embankment, Sovereign Street, Leeds LS1 4BG, for a variation to an existing consent to discharge storm sewage at National Grid Reference SE 2610 1960 to the River Calder from Mitchell Laithes Waste Water Treatment Works, Dewsbury, West Yorkshire. This application is to reduce the consented volume of sewage treated at the works under storm conditions for a time-limited period of 10 weeks from 20th May 1999 to 30th July 1999. The application forms part of an improvement scheme at the works. Any person who wishes to make representation or objections with respect to the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, North East Region, Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, for the attention of Simon Bullett, not later than 23rd April 1999. A copy of the application may be inspected, free of charge, at the local Environment Agency office at Phoenix House, Global Avenue, Leeds LS11 8PG, on weekdays between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m., up to 23rd April 1999.
