THE CITY OF SALFORD (MERCHANTS QUAY, SALFORD QUAYS, SALFORD) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 1999

Notice is hereby given that on 26th February 1999 the Council of the City of Salford made the above-mentioned Order under sections 1, 2 and 4 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is as described in the notice of proposal to make the Order which appeared in The London Gazette (Issue No. 54143) dated 31st August 1995 under Ref. No. 573 in that it is unlawful to permit vehicular traffic to wait at any time on the length of road specified in the Schedule below. A copy of the Order and a map showing the lengths of road affected are available for inspection at the Common Law Section, Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton M27 5DA, between 8.30 a.m. and 4.30 p.m., Mondays to Fridays inclusive. If you wish to question the validity of the Order or of any of the provisions contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act, or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order you may within 6 weeks from 26th February 1999 apply to the High Court for this purpose. Merchants Quay, south side, from the westerly kerb-line of Trafford Road in a westerly direction for a distance of 160 metres. Merchants Quay, south side, from the access to No. 85 Merchants Quay for a distance of 70 metres in a westerly direction. Merchants Quay, north side, from opposite the access to No. 85 Merchants Quay for a distance of 60 metres in a westerly direction. 11th March 1999.
