NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Anglian Water Services Limited, of Endurance House, Chivers Way, Histon, Cambridge CB4 9ZR, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole in the Sandringham Sands, at National Grid Reference TF 7102 3740 in the parish of Sedgeford, in the district of West Norfolk in the county of Norfolk. The proposal is to abstract at the following rates: 30 cubic metres per hour, 588 cubic metres per day and 50,000 cubic metres per year. The application is to renew the current licence, which will otherwise expire on 31st December 1999, without change to the current licensed quantities. The water will be used for public water supplies. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the address given above and at Sedgeford Post Office, Cole Green, Sedgeford, Norfolk PE36 5LS, between 12th March and 9th April 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Central Area, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE18 8E, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
