NOTICE OF APPLICATIONS TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Anglian Water Services Limited, of Endurance House, Chivers Way, Histon, Cambridge CB4 9ZR, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary the following licence serial numbers to abstract water from chalk boreholes at the following sites in the district of Breckland in the county of Norfolk.

The variation being applied for is to renew the current “Wissey Group” aggregate of 6,600,000 cubic metres per year, which limits the total quantity of water that can be abstracted under all 6 licences, which will otherwise expire on 31st December 1999. The individual site quantities authorised by the licences will remain after 31st December 1999 and will not be changed by this application. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the address given above and at Watton Post Office, High Street, Watton, Norfolk; Bradenham Post Office, 35 Church Street, Bradenham, Thetford, Norfolk and Mundford Post Office, Glen Lyon Stores, 62 St. Leonard Street, Mundford, Thetford, between 12th March and 9th April 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the applications should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Central Area, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire PE18 8NE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
