NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that the British Waterways Board, of Willow Grange, Church Road, Watford, Hertfordshire WD1 3QA, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 18/54/6/107, which authorises the abstraction of water from the Staffordshire and Worcestershire Canal at National Grid Reference SO 8633 8949 at Hinksford. The variation being applied for is an increase in the area of land on which canal water may be used for spray irrigation purposes. No additional quantities of water are required, and no other licence conditions will be affected. A copy of the application and any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, Monday to Friday between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. at Whitmore Supreme Potatoes, Mile Flat, Wall Heath, Kingswinford, West Midlands DY6 0AX, between 5th March and 5th April 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Midlands Region, Hafren House, Welshpool Road, Shelton, Shrewsbury, Shropshire SY3 8BB, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
