NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER (N4)

Take notice that Bawtry Farms Limited, of Serlby Hall, Serlby, Bawtry, Doncaster DN10 6BA, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 3/28/78/29/S, authorising the abstraction of water from the River Idle between National Grid Reference SK 6558 9265 and SK 6574 9213 at Scaftworth, Bawtry. The variation being applied for is to include additional land on which water may be used and to authorise the abstraction of an additional 216  /hour, 5,184 !/day and 109,000 ! during the period November to March inclusive each year. This water will be stored in an offstream reservoir for subsequent spray irrigation use during the summer period. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Bawtry Library, Doncaster Road, Bawtry DN10 6NE, between 5th March 1999 and 5th April 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Trentside Offices, Scarrington Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5FA, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
