THE A174 TRUNK ROAD (BLUE BELL INTERCHANGE SLIP ROADS) (40 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT)

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 84(1)(a) and (2) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to impose a 40 m.p.h. speed limit on: (i) the westbound entry slip road (southern section) leading from the B1365 to the A174 for a distance of 238 metres, and (ii) the westbound entry slip road (northern section) leading from the B1365 to the westbound entry slip road (southern section). A copy of the proposed draft Order, a plan illustrating the proposal and a statement explaining the Secretary of State’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected during office hours at the offices of Middlesborough Borough Council, Vancouver House, Quebec Street, Middlesborough. The documents may also be seen at or obtained by application to the Director, The Highways Agency, PO Box 206, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4UR. Any person wishing to object to the Secretary of State’s proposal to make this Order should send a written statement of their objection and the grounds thereof to the Director’s address above.
