STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS IN THE CITY OF MANCHESTER

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that on the application of Manchester Millennium he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (The City of Manchester) (No. 2) Order 1999” authorising the stopping-up of parts of Cannon Street, Cateaton Street and Hanging Ditch, Manchester City Centre. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for the North West (Transport) Sunley Tower, Piccadilly Plaza, Manchester M1 4BE (quoting Ref. GO/TNW 5082/35/1/75) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at The Town Hall, Albert Square, Manchester. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been completed in relation to the Order, may within 6 weeks of 3rd March 1999, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
