TOWER HAMLETS (PRESCRIBED ROUTE) (NO. 2) TRAFFIC ORDER 1999

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Tower Hamlets on 26th February 1999 made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985. The general effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in Osborne Street between its junction with Whitechapel High Street and Brick Lane, in other than a general northbound direction. A copy of the Order, which will come into operation on 3rd March 1999, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays inclusive until the expiration of a period of 6 weeks from the date on which this notice is published, at the Council Offices, (Traffic Section), Southern Grove Lodge, Southern Grove, London E3 4PN. Copies of the made Order may also be obtained from the above address. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision provided therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or Local Government Act 1985, or that any of the relevant requirements thereof or any relevant regulations made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the Order was made, make application for the purpose to the High Court.
