THE ISLINGTON (PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO. 1) TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT ORDER 1999
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Islington, on 15th
February 1999, made the above-mentioned Order under section 6 of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984.
The general effect of the Order will be to revoke and replace Schedules 1, 2 and
3 of the Islington (Parking Places) (Amendment No. 4) Order 1976, thereby providing
additional residents’ parking places and relocating under-utilised parking meters
in response to increased demands for on-street parking for residents and visitors
to the areas concerned.
In all other respects the requirements of the 1976 Order shall remain in force.
A copy of the Order can be inspected during normal office hours at the Legal Department,
Town Hall, Upper Street, London N1 2UD. Please ask for reference LE/C/HGF.
Copies of the Order may be obtained from the Legal Department, Town Hall, Upper Street,
London N1 2UD.
Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained
therein on the grounds that it is not within the relevant powers of the Road Traffic
Regulation Act 1984, or that any of the regulations made thereunder have not been
complied with in relation to the Order may, within 6 weeks of the date on which the
Order was made, make application for these purposes to the High Court.
