(A) COLE PARK (PARKING PLACES) (AMENDMENT NO.   ) ORDER 1999 (B) WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTION (SPECIAL PARKING AREA) (AMENDMENT NO.   ) ORDER 1999

Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Richmond-upon-Thames propose to make the above Orders under sections 6, 45, 46, 49, 51 and 124 of and Part III and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended) and the Road Traffic Act 1991. The effects of the proposed Orders will be: (A) to extend the existing Cole Park Controlled Parking Zone, operational between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, to include Erncroft Way, Fulwood Gardens and Whitton Road between the existing Zone boundary and its junction with the south side of Chertsey Road; (B) to introduce waiting restrictions operational between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays to those lengths of the above roads not covered by existing restrictions or parking spaces. The parking charges relating to the extended Zone will be as follows: (a) residents’ parking permit charges: £94 for a permit valid for a period of 24 months, £50 for 12 months, £28 for 6 months and £16 for 3 months; (b) residents’ visitors’ parking permits: £9 for a book of 12 permits or £4.50 for a book for residents aged 60 years or over; (c) visitor parking charges 50p an hour; (d) business parking permit charges: for the first permit per business, £160 for a permit valid for a period of 12 months, £80 for a permit valid for 6 months and £40 for 3 months. For each additional permit per business, £240 for a permit valid for a period of 12 months, £120 for a permit valid for 6 months and £60 for 3 months. Copies of the proposed Orders, the Cole Park (Parking Places) Order 1994, the Waiting and Loading Restriction (Special Parking Area) Order 1996 and the Council’s statements of reasons for proposing the Orders together with plans showing the lengths of road affected can be inspected at the: (a) Civic Centre (Second Floor), 44 York Street, Twickenham, between 9.15 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays; (b) Central Reference Library, Old Town Hall, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond, during opening hours; (c) Twickenham Reference Library, Garfield Road, Twickenham, during opening hours. If you wish to object to or make representation on the proposed extension you should write giving the grounds for your objection or representation to the Head of Highways and Transport, Civic Centre, 44 York Street, Twickenham TW1 3BZ, to be received by 19th February 1999. 29th January 1999.
