THE STOPPING-UP OF HIGHWAYS (COUNTY OF BEDFORDSHIRE) (NO. 1) ORDER 1999

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on the application of Motley, Strachan and Hope he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Bedfordshire) (No. 1) Order 1999” authorising the stopping-up of highway land to the rear of numbers 8-12 St. Cuthberts Street (formerly known as Brown’s Court), Bedford, to enable development consisting of the erection of an office building and car park to be carried out in accordance with planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to Keens Shay Keens by Bedford Borough Council on 30th January 1998, as amended on 31st July 1998, under Ref. 97/01674/S73. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Heron House, 49-51 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL (quoting Ref. GT/W0205/35/1/29), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Bedford Borough Council, Town Hall, St. Paul’s Square, Bedford. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 28th January 1999, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
