NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that G. S. Coode-Adams of Feeringbury, Feering, Colchester, Essex, is applying to the Environment Agency for two licences to abstract water from River Blackwater between National Grid References TL 8610 2142 and TL 8640 1959 at Coggeshall Hall, Feering, Colchester, Essex. The proposals are to abstract water at the following rates: (1) 54.7 cubic metres per hour, 382 cubic metres per day, 12,520 cubic metres per year between 1st May and 30th September each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation to replace Licence No. 8/37/31/S/201 without change to authorised quantities which expires on 30th September 1998. (2) 150 cubic metres per hour, 3,600 cubic metres per day, 22,730 cubic metres per year between 1st April and 31st October each year. The water will be used for frost protection and spray irrigation, to replace Licence No. 8/37/31/S/179 without change to authorised quantities which expires on 30th March 1999. A copy of the applications and any maps, plans and other documents submitted with them may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Old Wills Farm, Feering, Essex, between 26th January 1999 and 23rd February 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Eastern Area, Cobham Road, Ipswich, Suffolk IP3 9JF, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
