NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Mr. J. C. Gilford and Mrs E. J. C. Gunstone of 5 Newbury Road, Dalton Park, Ashurst, Skelmersdale, Lancashire, are applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a borehole at National Grid Reference 4805/0968 at Mughouse Farm, Cobbs Brow Lane, Newburgh, near Wigan, Lancashire. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 11 cubic metres per hour, 120 cubic metres per day and 15,000 cubic metres per year all year round. The water will be used for horticultural nursery. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at 5 Newbury Road, Dalton Park, Ashurst, between 21st January 1999 and 21st March 1999.
