NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR LICENCES TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that C. R. & O. B. Beard of Grange Farm, Grassthorpe, Newark, Nottinghamshire, are applying to the Environment Agency for licences to abstract water from the Grassthorpe Beck, between National Grid Reference SK 7980 6765 and SK 8020 6775 at Grassthorpe or an unnamed watercourse at National Grid Reference SK 8008 6935 at Low Marnham. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates from each site: 55 cubic metres per hour, 660 cubic metres per day and 10,000 cubic metres per year, between the months of May to September each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation purposes. A copy of the application and any maps, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the above address between 1st February and 28th February 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Lower Trent Area, Scarrington Road, West Bridgford, Nottingham NG2 5FA, before the end of the said period.
