TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990, SECTION 257 AND PARAGRAPH 1 OF SCHEDULE 14
THE CITY OF SOUTHAMPTON (PUBLIC FOOTPATH NUMBER 9—LORDSHILL RECREATION CENTRE) PUBLIC PATH DIVERSION ORDER 1999

The above-named Order (hereinafter referred to as “The Order”) was made on 6th January 1999, and is about to be submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation or to be confirmed as an unopposed Order by Southampton City Council. The effect of the Order will be to divert the public footpath that runs from Romsey Road Subway to Jerrett’s Lane; from the line of the existing path that crosses the David Lloyd Tennis Centre to an alignment that runs within the existing north-eastern and northern boundary fences of the David Lloyd Tennis Centre to meet Jerrett’s Lane south of Oak Cottage. A copy of the Order and relevant map may be inspected, free of charge, during normal working hours at my enquiry office at Southbrook Rise, 4-8 Millbrook Road East, Southampton. Further information may also be obtained from the Rights of Way Officer on Southampton 833987. Any representation about or objection in respect of the above Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to the Head of Legal Services, Southampton City Council, Southbrook Rise, 4-8 Millbrook Road East, Southampton SO15 1YG, not later than 18th February 1999, and should state the grounds on which it is made. Any representations or objections should be made within the 28 days objection period. If no such representations of objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Southampton City Council may, instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation, themselves confirm the Order as an unopposed Order. If the Order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations or objections which have been duly made and not withdrawn will be sent to the Secretary of State with the Order. Please note that this notice amends the earlier notice advertised on 7th January 1999. Please quote file Ref. SD23/01/0001 on all correspondence. M. R. Heath, Head of Legal Services Southbrook Rise, 4-8 Millbrook Road East, Southampton SO15 1YG. 21st January 1999.
