THE A638 TRUNK ROAD (NORTH OF DONCASTER, REDHOUSE TO COUNTY BOUNDARY) (DETRUNKING) ORDER 199
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he proposes to make an Order under sections 10 and 12 of the Highways Act 1980 which will provide that a length of the A638 Trunk Road from its junction with the A1(M) at Redhouse to the boundary with Wakefield Metropolitan District will cease to be a trunk road, and shall be classified as a principal road, as from the date on which this Order comes into force. Copies of the draft Order and the plan referred to in it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours from 21st January 1999 until 11th March 1999, or within 7 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later, at the Highways Agency, St. Christopher House, Southwark Street, London SE1 0TE; Highways Agency, PO Box 206, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4UR; Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, Priory Place, Doncaster; and at Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council, Borough Engineers Department, Scarborough House, Chequer Road, Doncaster. Any person may object to the making of this Order by notice in writing, so as to arrive not later than 11th March 1999, or within 7 weeks from the date of first publication of this notice if that period expires later. The notice should be addressed to the Highways Agency, 9th Floor West, PO Box 206, City House, New Station Street, Leeds LS1 4UR, and should quote Ref. YHNMD F4410/65/2/2 and state the grounds of objection. In the preparation of an objection and the statement of grounds of objection it should be borne in mind that the substance of any objection or representation may be communicated to other people who may be affected by it.
