THE BEXLEY (PRESCRIBED ROUTES) (NO. ) TRAFFIC ORDER 199
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bexley propose to make a Traffic Order under section 6 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulations Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 9 to the Local Government Act 1985:— The Order would introduce:— (a) banned ‘U’ turns on all three approaches to the new traffic signals at the Graham Road/Arnsberg Way junction; (b) a banned right turn from Arnsberg Way into the south-west end of the service road, which is situated to the rear of numbers 116 to 156 Broadway, Bexleyheath; (c) a banned right turn from the south-west end of the above service road into Arnsberg Way. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2 would not apply in respect of anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. The prohibitions referred to in paragraph 2(b) would not apply in relation to a vehicle being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency. Copies of the draft Order referred to above, a map which indicates the length of road to which the Order relates and a statement setting out the Council’s reasons for proposing to make the Order may be inspected at The Information Centre, Civic Offices, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7LB, during normal office hours, Mondays to Fridays, for a period of 21 days from the date on which this notice is published. Any person wishing to comment on the proposed Order may do so by writing to the Chief Engineer, London Borough of Bexley, Civic Offices, Bexleyheath, Kent DA6 7LB, stating the grounds thereof, within the above-mentioned period of 21 days. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that in view of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, this Council would be legally obliged to make any comments received in response to the notice, open to public inspection.
