NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that Aldeburgh Productions, of Festival Office, Aldeburgh High Street, Aldeburgh IP15 5AX, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from a crag sand aquifer, at National Grid Reference TM 3933 5737 at Snape Maltings Concert Hall. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 3.6 cubic metres per hour, 86 cubic metres per day, 3,000 cubic metres per year. The water will be used for cooling of the concert hall auditorium during summertime concerts, and then returned to the aquifer. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected free of charge at all reasonable hours at Snape Maltings Concert Hall, between 18th January and 18th February 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Cobham Road, Ipswich IP3 9JE, before the end of the said period. J.
