NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that South Pickenham Estate Company Limited, of Estate Office, Home Farm, South Pickenham, Swaffham, Norfolk, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from chalk underground strata at National Grid Reference TF 843 053 at The Parish of South Pickenham, in the District of Breckland, Norfolk. The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 40.9 cubic metres per hour, 981.9 cubic metres per day, 58,900 cubic metres per year, between 1st April and 30th September each year. The water will be used for spray irrigation on agricultural crops. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Estate Office, Home Farm, South Pickenham, between 18th January and 19th February 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE18 8NE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant. on behalf of South Pickenham Estate Company Ltd. 13th January 1999.
