TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990
The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled “The Stopping-up of Highways (London Borough of Barnet) (No. 1) Order 1998”, authorising the stopping-up of highway land to the rear of the western footway of Deans Lane, Edgware, and the whole of the pedestrian subway in Deans Lane. Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for London, Transport Division, 8/W19, Riverwalk House, 157-161 Millbank, London SW1P 4RR (quoting Ref. LRO 34/N5090/1/07), and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of the London Borough of Barnet, Barnet House, 1255 High Road, Whetstone, London N20 0EJ, and at the Town Hall, The Burroughs, Hendon, London NW4 4BG. Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the ground that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 15th January 1999, apply to the High Court for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
