NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER
Take notice that Yorkshire Water Services Limited, 2 The Embankment, Sovereign Street,
Leeds LS1 4BG, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number
2/27/21/20 to abstract water from Middlesmoor Spring (Carle Well) at National Grid
Reference SE 0875 7511 at Middlesmoor in the civil parish of Stonebeck Up, Harrogate
District of North Yorkshire.
The variation being applied for is to increase the licensed abstraction from 4,979
cubic metres per annum, 13.64 cubic metres per day to 7,300 cubic metres per annum,
50 cubic metres per day and 2.5 cubic metres per hour.
A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it
may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at the Post Office, Lofthouse,
North Yorkshire and at Yorkshire Water Offices, Claro House, Harlow Moor Road, Harrogate,
North Yorkshire, between 8th January 1999 and 5th February 1999.
Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so
in writing to the Environment Agency, North and East Region, Water Resources Section,
Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Amy Johnson Way, Clifton Moor, York YO30 4GZ, before
the end of the said period.
