NOTICE OF APPLICATION TO VARY A LICENCE TO ABSTRACT WATER

Take notice that E. R. Butler, of Conquest Farm, Farcet Fen, Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, is applying to the Environment Agency to vary licence serial number 6/33/53/S/571 which authorises the abstraction of water from the River Nene (Old Course), Conquest Lode, and drains in Farcet Fen, Mereside and Stocking Fen between National Grid References TL 206 942 and TL 203 937, TL 202 933 and TL 208 928, TL 232 916 and TL 238 916 in Farcet Fen, TL 288 892 and TL 290 894 at Ramsey Mereside, and TL 289 864 through TL 292 863 to TL 291 862 at Stocking Fen, Ramsey, Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. The variation being applied for is to add additional land off Conquest Drove and Straight Drove, Farcet Fen and additional abstraction points on unnamed drains at National Grid Reference TL 218 929 and TL 220 937. Abstraction in Farcet Fen between TL 232 916 and TL 238 916 and adjoining land will be deleted and land in Stocking Fen will be reduced in area. There are no changes to the licensed quantities or services. A copy of the application and any map, plans or other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Conquest Farm, Farcet Fen, Peterborough, between 16th December 1998 and 14th January 1999. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Bromholme Lane, Brampton, Huntingdon PE18 8NE, before the end of the said period, quoting the name of the applicant.
