The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Hertfordshire) (No. 3) Order 1998

The Secretary of State for the Environment, Transport and the Regions hereby gives notice that, on the application of McDonalds Restaurants Ltd, he has made an Order under section 247 of the above Act entitled The Stopping-up of Highways (County of Hertfordshire) (No. 3) Order 1998” authorising the stopping-up of highway land at The Bell Public House, London Colney, Hertfordshire, to enable development consisting of a single-storey rear extension together with alterations to elevations, formation of an enlarged car par, Drive-Thru” lane, revised access roads, rear refuse yard and other external works all in connection with a proposed McDonald’s restaurant, to be carried out in accordance with the planning permission granted under Part III of the Act to McDonald’s Restaurants Ltd by Hertsmere Borough Council, on 15th October 1997, under Ref. TP/97/0159.   Copies of the Order may be obtained, free of charge, on application to the Government Office for Eastern Region (Planning and Transport), Heron House, 49-53 Goldington Road, Bedford MK40 3LL, (quoting Ref. GT/N1920/35/1/06) and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the offices of Hertsmere Borough Council, Elstree Way, Borehamwood, Hertfordshire.   Any person aggrieved by the Order and desiring to question the validity thereof, or of any provision contained therein, on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the above Act or that any requirement of that Act or of any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks of 25th November 1998, apply to the High Court, for the suspension or quashing of the Order or of any provision contained therein.
