Application for authority to Stop up Unnamed Passageway to the North of Albert Street, Newtown (Part)

Notice is hereby given by way of complaint that the Wigan Borough Council, the highway authority within the meaning of the Highways Act 1980, as amended by the Local Government Act 1985, intends to apply to the Wigan Magistrates’ Court, sitting at Darlington Street, Wigan, in the county of Greater Manchester, on Friday, 4th December 1998, at 9.30 a.m. for an Order authorising the stopping-up of the highway known as the unnamed passageway to the north of Albert Street, Newtown (part), on the ground that the said highway is unnecessary.   The effect of the Order will be as shown in a plan which may be inspected, free of charge, between the hours of 9 a.m. and 4.30 p.m. at the Town Hall, Library Street, Wigan, and described in the Schedule below.
