Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Liverpool Football Club Soccer Academy of County Road, Kirby, Liverpool, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from boreholes at National Grid References SJ 42451-98588 and SJ 42466-98570, at County Road, Kirby, Liverpool.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates from two boreholes in total: 60 cubic metres per hour, 600 cubic metres per day, 150,000 cubic metres per year between January and December each year. The water will be used for irrigating the football pitches and general use.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Municipal Buildings, Cherryfield Drive, Kirby, Knowsley, Merseyside L32 1TX, between 22nd October 1998 and 22nd November 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, PO Box 12, Richard Fairclough House, Knutsford Road, Warrington WA4 1HG, before the end of the said period.
