HIGH PEAK BOROUGH COUNCIL
The High Peak Borough Council (Off Street Parking Places) Order 1998
Notice is hereby given that the High Peak Borough Council propose to make the above Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order will be to revoke the Borough of High Peak (Off Street Parking Places) Order 1994-97 and make provision to charge for the use of car parks, specified in the Schedule below. The Order re-enacts the provisions of the 1994-97 Orders but with certain additions and amendments. The charges apply between the hours of 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday to Saturday on the Glossop car parks and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. every day on all other car parks. They apply to all vehicles including motor-cycles but disabled drivers’ vehicles will be exempt. A copy of the proposed Order, the maps and the statement of the Council’s reasons for making the Order are available for inspection during normal office hours at the Town Hall, Buxton; the Council Offices, Hayfield Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith and at the Municipal Buildings, Glossop. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Order, should submit their objections in writing specifying the grounds upon which they are made to the undersigned at the Council Offices, Hayfield Road, Chapel-en-le-Frith, High Peak SK23 0QJ by 13th November 1998.
