Stopping-up of Unnecessary Highways Asket Place and Associated Footpaths Leeds 14

Notice is hereby given that Leeds City Council intend to apply to the Leeds District Magistrates’ Court sitting at The Courthouse, Westgate, Leeds 1, on Thursday, 29th October 1998, at 2 p.m., for an Order under section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping-up of the following sections of highway described in the Schedule hereto on the ground that they are unnecessary.   The sections of highway to be stopped up are shown by black hatching and bold black lines on the plan deposited at the offices of the Legal Services Agency, Leeds City Council, Room 213, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR, and may be inspected there, free of charge, during normal office hours.   Any person wishing to object to the proposal or make representations about it, may appear at the Leeds District Magistrates’ Court on the date aforesaid. Any person intending to appear before the Court at the hearing of the application is asked to notify the Leeds City Council, Legal Services Agency, Room 213, Civic Hall, Leeds LS1 1UR, (quoting Ref. Description of sections of highway to be stopped up

Asket Place, Leeds 14, from its junction with Asket Avenue for a distance of 82 metres in a south-westerly direction to its end (total closure). Footpath 1, from its junction with Asket Avenue for a distance of 63 metres to its junction with footpath 5. Footpath 2, from its junction with the southern footway to Kentmere Approach for a distance of 9 metres to entrance to 173 to 183 Kentmere Approach (total closure). Footpath 3, from its junction with the southern footway to Kentmere Approach for a distance of 10 metres to entrance to 161 to 171 Kentmere Approach (total closure). Footpath 4, from its junction with the southern footway to Kentmere Approach for a distance of 11 metres to entrance to 149 to 159 Kentmere Approach (total closure). Footpath 5, from footpath 1 for a distance of 6 metres to entrance of 173 to 183 Kentmere Approach (total closure). Footpath 6, from footpath 1 for a distance of 5 metres to entrance of 161 to 171 Kentmere Approach (total closure). Footpath 7, from footpath 1 for a distance of 4 metres to entrance of 149 to 159 Kentmere Approach (total closure). Footpath 8, from its junction with Asket Avenue for a distance of 46 metres to its junction with footpath 10 (total closure). Footpath 9, from its junction with footpath 8 for a distance of 4 metres to entrance to 2 to 12 Asket Place (total closure). Footpath 10, from its junction with footpath 8 for a distance of 4 metres to entrance to 14 to 24 Asket Place (total closure). Footpath 11, from its junction with Asket Place for a distance of 6 metres to entrance to 14 to 24 Asket Place (total closure).
