The London Borough of Bromley (Free Parking Places) (Time Restricted) Order 1997 (Amendment No. ) Order 1998 The London Borough of Bromley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1993 (Amendment No. ) Order 1998 (Southborough Road, outside Bickley Station)
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Bromley, hereinafter called “the Council”, proposes to make the above-mentioned Orders under sections 6 and 124 of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by section 8 of and Part I of Schedule 5 to the Local Government Act 1985, and sections 64-81 inclusive and Schedules 6 and 7 of the Road Traffic Act 1991. The effect of the Orders would be: (a) to introduce 16 free parking places, limited to a maximum stay of 30 minutes between 8.30 a.m. and 6.30 p.m. on Mondays to Saturdays outside the station; (b) to amend the Bromley (Waiting and Loading Restriction) Order 1993, so that the existing yellow line between Nos. 14 and 20 would be removed. The prohibitions and exemptions referred to above would not apply in relation to anything done with the permission of or at the direction of a Police Constable in uniform or to vehicles of the Emergency Services. Details of other prohibitions and exemptions for certain vehicles and persons are contained in the original Orders. A copy of the proposed Orders, of the Orders being amended, of the plan of the scheme and of the Council’s statement of reasons for proposing to make the Order, can be inspected during normal office hours on Mondays to Fridays at the Bromley Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley, Kent. Any person wishing to object to the proposed Orders should send a statement, in writing, of their objection and the grounds thereof, to the Director of Environmental Services, Civic Centre, Stockwell Close, Bromley BR1 3UH, quoting ref. ADE(TP)/PAL/T100/271, not later than 21st August 1998. Persons objecting to the proposed Order should be aware that, under the provisions of the Local Government (Access to Information) Act 1985, any comments received in response to this notice may be open to public inspection.
