The London Borough of Merton (Controlled Zone) (Parking Places) (No. 9) Order 1998 Morden Hall Road
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the London Borough of Merton, after consulting the Commissioner of Police of the Metropolis, in exercise of power conferred by section 6 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, have made the above-mentioned Order on 24th June 1998. The Order will come into operation on 29th June 1998. The general effects of the Order will be to introduce 21 residents’ permit parking places along that length of Morden Hall Road, south west side, from a point opposite the southern most flank wall of 88 Morden Hall Road to a point 11.5 metres south east of common boundary of 40-42 Morden Hall Road. The hours of operation of the bays will be 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday to Saturday. Exemptions to the provisions of the Order are given for emergency vehicles and anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform. A copy of the Order, the Council’s statement of reasons and a plan of the area affected by the Order can be inspected during normal office hours on Monday to Fridays until 6th August 1998 in the main reception, Merton Civic Centre, London Road, Morden, Surrey. Any person desiring to question the validity of the Order or of any provision contained in it on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, or on the grounds that any requirement of the Act, or of any Instrument made under it has not been complied with in relation to the Order, may, within 6 weeks from the date which the Order was made, apply to the High Court for this purpose.
