Notice of application for a licence to abstract water

Take notice that Glen Charters Properties Ltd. of Plompton High Grange, Plompton, Knaresborough, North Yorkshire, is applying to the Environment Agency for a licence to abstract water from Sanstone strata at National Grid Reference SD 8351 5812 at Craven Mill, Long Preston, North Yorkshire.   The proposal is to abstract water at the following rates: 5 cubic metres per hour, 12 cubic metres per day, 3,575 cubic metres per year, between 1st January and 31st December each year. The water will be used for domestic water supply to 12 dwellings.   A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at Settle Library, 4 High Street, Settle, North Yorkshire, between 30th June 1998 and 27th July 1998.   Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Lutra House, Dodd Way, off Seedless Road, Bamber Bridge, Preston PR5 8XB, before the end of the said period.
