Swavesey Internal Drainage District

Notice is hereby given that the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, following a petition received and submitted to him by the Environment Agency, proposes to make an Order under section 5(1) of the Land Drainage Act 1991, making provision for:   (1) the reconstitution of the Swavesey Internal Drainage Board and the transfer to it of the Environment Agency’s property and liabilities so far as vested in or incurred by them in their capacity as the drainage board for the Swavesey Internal Drainage District;   (2) matters supplemental thereto or consequential thereon.   A copy of the draft Order has been deposited at the offices of The Swavesey Internal Drainage Board, Middle Level Offices, Dartford Road, March, Cambridgeshire PE15 8AF, at the offices of The Environment Agency, Anglian Region, Kingfisher House, Goldhay Way, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough PE2 5ZR, and at the offices of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Room 309, Eastbury House, 30-34 Albert Embankment, London SE1 7TL, for public inspection during normal office hours for a period of 30 days from the date of publication of this notice.   Copies of the draft Order may be obtained from the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, at the above address.   Any objections to the draft Order should be made in writing and sent to the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, at the above address within the period mentioned above quoting reference LDC 2335.
