Highways Act 1980, Section 116 and 12th Schedule
Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of Salford in exercise of the powers conferred on them, intend to apply to the Magistrates’ Court at Town Hall, Bexley Square, Salford, on 16th July 1998, at 9.45 a.m., for the following Orders, pursuant to section 116 of the Highways Act 1980, authorising the stopping-up of West Dean Street and part of Barlows Road, Salford. (i) Closure of part of Barlows Road from back of footway on West Dean Street in a westerly direction, for a distance of approximately 100 metres (ii) Closure of West Dean Street from back of footway on Liverpool Street to its cul-de-sac and a length of approximately 45 metres (iii) Closure of Barlows Road at a point 6 metres west from kerb face of Clare Street in a westerly direction to back of footway on West Dean Street, a length of approximately 25 metres. The effect of the proposed Orders are shown on the plans which may be inspected, free of charge, at the Legal Section, Salford Civic Centre, Chorley Road, Swinton, during normal office hours (Ref.
