Notice of application to vary a licence to abstract water
Take notice that Yorkshire Water Services Ltd, of 2 The Embankment, Sovereign Street, Leeds, is applying to the Environment Agency, to vary licence serial number 2/27/25/15 to abstract water from two boreholes in the corallian limestone at National Grid Reference SE 6955 7873, at East Ness in the civil parish of Nunnington, district of Ryedale, county of North Yorkshire. The variation being applied for is for two additional boreholes to be licensed. These will replace the existing licensed boreholes. There will be no change to the authorised abstraction. A copy of the application and any map, plans and other documents submitted with it may be inspected, free of charge, at all reasonable hours at The Post Office, Slingsby, York and at Yorkshire Water Waste Water Treatment Works, 11 Severn Street, York Road Industrial Estate, Malton, between 11th June and 9th July 1998. Any person who wishes to make representations about the application should do so in writing to the Environment Agency, Coverdale House, Aviator Court, Amy Johnson Way, Clifton Moor, York YO3 4UZ, before the end of the said period.
