Notice of Adoption of Proposals for a Local Plan Isle of Thanet Local Plan

Notice is hereby given that on 27th April 1998, Thanet District Council adopted these plan proposals with modifications. The Secretary of State was satisfied that the necessary modifications had been made to comply with his direction to the authority to modify the proposals. The adopted proposals will form part of the development plan for the Thanet district. The development plan forms the basis for decisions on land use planning affecting that area.   Copies of the adopted proposals and of Secretary of State’s notification that he was satisfied with the modifications made to comply with his direction are available for inspection at the Council’s offices at Cecil Street, Margate; Albion House, Ramsgate; and Pierremont Hall, Broadstairs, during normal office hours, and at local libraries on Mondays to Fridays during normal opening hours.   The proposals come into operation on their adoption. A person aggrieved by the proposals who desires to question their validity on the ground that they are not within the powers conferred by Part II of the Town and Country Plannining Act 1990, or that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made under it has not been complied with in relation to the adoption of the proposals, may, within 6 weeks from 8 May 1998, make an application to the High Court under section 287 of the 1990 Act.
