PUBLIC NOTIFICATION OF AN APPLICATION MADE UNDER SECTION 11 OF THE ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION ACT 1990 PART 1
Integrated Pollution Control
Notice is hereby given that National Power PLC has applied to the Secretary of State for the Environment for a variation to the extant Integrated Pollution Control (IPC) authorisation to operate a Combustion Process at Drax Power Station, Selby, North Yorkshire in the district of Selby in the county of North Yorkshire. Information relating to the above IPC application for a variation to the extant authorisation to operate to the Combustion Process is held in registers at The Environment Agency, Coverdale House, Amy Johnson Way, Clifton Moor, York YO3 4UZ, and Chief Environmental Health and Housing Officer, Selby District Council, The Civic Centre, Portholme Road, Selby YO8 0SB. Members of the public can inspect these registers, free of charge, at the above-stated addresses during normal office hours. In addition, members of the public who wish to obtain a copy of the relevant information contained in the registers can do so upon the payment of a reasonable charge to cover the costs of copying. Any objections or representations to the above IPC variation application should be made in writing to the Environment Agency at The Environment Agency, Swan House, Merchants Wharf, Westpoint Road, Thornaby, Stockton TS17 6BP, within 28 days from the date of this public notice. Any such objections or representations will be entered into a public register unless the person making them requests in writing that they should not be so placed. In this case there will be included in the register a statement indicating only that representations have been made which have been the subject of such a request.
